A. Gertrude Buckley, 82, of 199 Hillside Ave., the office manager for the Fall River office of the former Congdon and Carpenter Steel Co. for 20 years before retiring in 1982, died yesterday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Buckley.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Henry B. and Mary E. (Ilsley) Hilton, she had lived in Somerset for the last 18 years, and before that in Fall River.
Mrs. Buckley also worked in the cost department of Small Brothers Manufacturing Co. for 16 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens at the Bluffs at Ocean Grove, the Fall River Marine Museum, the Fall River Historical Society and the Fall River Emblem Club.
