GEHRON, BETTY LOU (BROCK) - passed away peacefully at her home in North Knoxville on Sunday, June 15, 2014, attended by family and friends. Born June 25, 1930, she lived with her mother Ireland Della Brock on the Halls Crossroads farm from which her family operated Brock Brother's Willow Fork Dairy. She was valedictorian of Halls High School, class of '48.

After graduating from Knoxville Business College, she married Harold L. Gehron, with whom she had three children: Deborah Gehron Grisar, Harold Lewis Gehron (died 2011) and Laura Gehron Davis.

The family was part of the congregation at St. John's Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir. Betty worked as a technical librarian at UT and TVA. After 'retirement' she returned to work happily as the office manager for Tennessee Turbine at Tyson McGhee Airport. Following her second retirement, she enjoyed traveling, visits from family, Bible study at Wallace Memorial Baptist, and her many friends.

She is survived by her two daughters; grandchildren Hannah Grisar, Lila Grisar, and Julia Grisar-Shryock; Phillip and Alison Gehron; great-grandchildren Nolla Mae and Mathilda Shryock, and Luca Manganiello.

Family and friends will meet at 1:45pm Thursday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of Betty's life at The Atrium of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, 701 Merchant's Drive.
