Karen Joan Oliver, 73 of Sterling, passed away Tues., June 17, 2014 in Aurora. Memorial service will be 10:30 am, Sat., June 21, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Inurnment will be 1pm, Tues., June 24 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver.

Karen was born May 19, 1941 in Farnam, Nebraska to Richard and Norma Pounds Hopkins. She graduated from high school. On Dec. 15, 1961 she married Robert F. Oliver in Westminster, CO. Karen was office manager at Date Service Center in Fort Collins.

She enjoyed crafts, her grandchildren, doing puzzles and board games and enjoyed traveling abroad and locally. She moved to Sterling from Loveland in 2006.

Karen is survived by husband Robert F. Oliver of Sterling; son Larry R. Oliver of Colorado Springs; daughter Gena Zigray and husband Chris of Akron; brothers Dale Hopkins and wife Bev of Denver and Gary Hopkins and wife Judy of Lakewood; sister Colleen Ehlers of Moorefield, NE; sister-in-law Dorothy Hopkins of Stockville, NE; three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William Hopkins.
