Elmer Ellsworth Bartholomew, 937 Fourteenth avenue SE, a Cedar Rapids resident 47 years, died Sunday following a long illness. Born June 9, 1876, at Flint, Mich., he was married to Bertha Barker Dec. 16, 1908, at West Union.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Maye Wartz of Georgetown, Fla., Fay Volkman of Denver, Laura Watson of Chicago, and DOra McKee of CEdar Rapids; a son, Max Bartholmew of San Diego; ten grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services: Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by Captain Joe Irvine. Burial: Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel until 1 p.m. Wednesday. The casket will not be opened after the service.
