Born November 27, 1940 in Bad Homburg v.d.H., Germany, to Friedrich Karl and Luise Lucie Hock. Married 1st LT Fred R. Rowzee, Jr. on April 15, 1964 in Gelnhausen, Germany. Upon her husband’s reassignment the couple came to the United States, and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. She then came to Lawton in July 1966 to live near friends during her husband’s tour of duty in Vietnam. With exception of two years in Dayton, Ohio, she has been a resident of Lawton.

As an Army wife she became involved in the Lawton/Fort Sill community. She began as a staff member of the Officer’s Wives Club Lanyard Lines publication and later in many community organizations. During this time frame she became a U.S. citizen and attended Cameron University. A patron of the Arts, she served many years on the Lawton Community Theater Board, Southwest Oklahoma Opera Guild Board and provided support to the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, Arts for All, Cameron University and numerous other organizations.

With a partner, she opened The Tea Room “The Downtown Place for Lunch” in February 1983. Later becoming the sole owner, she was in business over 22 years, until her health caused her to retire.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Elisabeth Rowzee; a son and daughter in law, Andreas and Laura Rowzee; two granddaughters, Erin and Margaret Rowzee and a great granddaughter, Lila Ann.

Her parents and a sister, Rosemarie Klar, preceded her in death.

Services were held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Don Howard, pastor, and Rev. Ben Veit, pastor emeritus, officiating. Burial was under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.
