Alva "Ace" Rockwell, the third of seven children, was born to Frank and Molly Rockwell September 3, 1904. He went on to be with the Lord, November 15, 1989 at Moab UT after a long illness. Cap was 85 years old.

He moved to the Dove Creek area as a young man from Eastern Colorado. He met and married a young bride, Fern Watenbarger, August 13, 1931. To this 57 year union were born six children; Ruth Fern, Alva Frank, Lowell Edward, Willis Dean, Alfred Keith, and Faith LaVone.

Cap was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mace and Kate; two brothers, Eldon and Pete; a daughter Ruth and a son Willis.

Cap was a member of the Assembly of God Church for many years. He was one of the original members of the Assembly and helped haul logs when the old log church was built. His love for the Lord was evident in all aspects of his life, from his merry chuckle to the patience and kindness he showed his grandchildren.

Cap saw a lot of history in 85 years. From some of the first cars, planes, trains and buses to the space program, and a man walking on the moon.
