John W. Bowman, 85, died at 5:50 am this morning of complications at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry McGregor, 1308 Second Street, after an illness of only three days.
The remains were taken to the Roach Chapel and prepared for burial.They will lie in state there until the funeral. Mr Bowman was the son of Mr and Mrs. Absolem Bowman. He married Eliza Blackburn. Survivors include 6 children, Mrs Fred Storer,Mrs Henry McGregor, Mrs. john Baloch, Mrs Stella Ashley, Mrs. Frank Hill, and Ed Bowman. A daughter, Mrs. Ida Walker died three years ago.
