Mrs. Bessie E. AGNEW, 92, Kewanna, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday in the Kokomo St. Joseph Hospital where she had been a patient since May 16. She had been residing at the Sycamore Village Health Care Center in Kokomo since December 1979. Mrs. Agnew was born Feb. 15, 1888 in a log cabin on Indiana 14, northwest of Kewanna, to Rudolph and Lucy Ann GARMAN ZELLERS. She was married to Robert W. AGNEW in 1910. He died in 1954. She was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, and the Frankfort Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are two sons, Wayne [AGNEW], Kokomo, and John [AGNEW], Kewanna; a daughter, Mrs. Lois SIGHTS, South Bend; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Three brothers, a sister and a son preceded in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, with the Rev. Gene PERSONETT officiating. Burial will be in the Winamac Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.
