Michael Kanzelberger Dies At Home of Son
Death claimed Michael Kanzelberger, 90, at the home of his son, Edward Kanzelberger, 1600 Twenty-fourth street Saturday afternoon. He was a retired farmer, taking up his home in this city 33 years ago, moving from the town of Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at St. Luke's Catholic church. Interment will be at Calvary cemetery. The remains were brought to the home from Beduhn and Goetz this afternoon.
Mr. Kanzelberger was born in Bavaria, Germany, June 3, 1843. He immigrated to this country at the age of 26 years and located at Francis Creek. Six months later he bought a farm in the town of Two Rivers where he lived up to 33 years ago. He was married in Manitowoc 65 years ago to Anna Eisenreich, a native of Bavaria.
Mr. Kanzelberger leaves two daughters, Mrs. John Greenwald of Sheboygan and Mrs. George Bonfigt, Two Rivers, and four sons, Joseph and Michael of Two Rivers, John of Antigo, Peter and Edward of this city. There are 42 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was a member of Holy Name society and Catholic Knights.
