Services for James "Jim" Abernathy, 67, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Bond officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Abernathy died at 10:50 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005, at the Paducah Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
He was retired from the Paducah Police Department and was a member of La Center First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Abernathy, and a brother, Martin "Bill" Abernathy. His parents were Leatus Abernathy and Edna Newbill Abernathy.
