He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; six sons, Travis Calhoun, Marcus (Quincee) Calhoun, Sydney (Sarah) Calhoun, Jermael (Caroline) Calhoun, Andree Shrider, all of Elkhart and Joshua (Andrea) Keck of Goshen; 10 grandchildren, Deshone, Taylynn, Darien, Madison, Jackson, Yohani, Gabriel, Aniyha, KaeCee-Rae, and Gracelyn. He is also survived by siblings, Earl (Jean) Calhoun, Charles Calhoun, Johnny Calhoun, Willie (Gail) Calhoun, Bobby (Peggie) Calhoun, Thomas (Gert) Calhoun, Donald (Damita) Calhoun, Glen Calhoun, Anita Calhoun, Adrian (Cynthia) Calhoun, Byron (Maggie) Calhoun, Alice (Darrel) Washington and Frank Calhoun, all of Elkhart and brother in law, Kevin (Patty) Shrider and sister in law Bessie (Tim) Hostetter. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Marvin R. Calhoun, Jr.
Marvin had a very outgoing personality and was a stranger to no one. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, June 27, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 28, 2014 in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Carpenter of Greater New Life Ministries officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
