Leo Boutin, 41, of Main Street, Mishicot, a third assistant engineer on the freighter Adam E. Cornelius of the Boland-Cornelius Steamship Co., Buffalo, N.Y., died Saturday noon at U.S. Health Service Hospital at Detroit, Mich., where he had been a patient for nearly two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. H. J. Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Boutin was born Sept. 11, 1923, at Two Rivers, son of Lester and Irene Jacques Boutin. He attended St. Luke Parochial and Washington High schools at Two Rivers. For the past eight years he was employed on Great Lakes freighters. He married the former Anna Smith at Two Rivers July 1, 1944, and was a member of St. Luke Court, Catholic Order of Foresters, of Two Rivers.
Besides his wife and parents, he leaves nine children, all at home, six daughters, Barbara, Linda, Judy, Cathy, Tammy and Debra, and three sons, Roy, William and Todd; three sisters, Mrs. Claude (Helen) Skrivanie, of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Harry (Lorraine) Bero, of Green Bay and Mrs. Howard (Clarice) Braundt, of Janesville; two brothers, James of Two Rivers and John in the Armed Forces in North Carolina, and the paternal grandfather Albert Boutin, of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 o’clock this Monday evening.
