Edward A. Gilbert Sr., 90, died Feb. 5 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services were Feb. 8 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was the Rev. William G. O'Brien with burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. Gilbert was born Jan. 29, 1909 in Marinette, son of the late Peter and Amelia Lesperance Gilbert. He attended parochial schools in Two Rivers. Mr. Gilbert was first married to Laura Bertrand in Waukegan, Ill. She preceded him in death. He then married Hildegard Miller in Two Rivers. Mr. Gilbert was employed at Hamilton Mfg. Co. for 29 years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Hildegard; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Edward Jr. and Marian Gilbert, Antigo, LeRoy and Janis Gilbert, Florida, Gerald Gilbert, Madison; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol may and Roger Klabunde, Neenay; a step-son, Jim (Janice) Schley, Two Rivers; two step-daughters, Shirley (Frank) Adenau, Illinois, Darlene (Joe) Vigley, Las Vegas, Nev.; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pearl Buggs, Two Rivers, Mildred and Milton Schley, Maribel, Lillian and Ed Wochenske, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Gilbert and Molly Grumann, both of Two Rivers.
