Mrs. Madeline Beltran passed away June 19, 2014, at the age of 91 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 22, 1922 in Newark, New Jersey. Mrs. Beltran is survived by her children: Theresa Schimelpfening and husband Joseph of Kingwood, TX, and Joanne Beltran of San Antonio, TX; her granddaughter, Allison Schimelpfening of College Station, TX; her siblings Mrs. Ann Fresco, Mr. Anthony Cicalese and wife Roseann, and Mrs. Jennie DeCroce; her sister-in-law Mary Louise Trevino and husband Jesse of McAllen, TX; and her many beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Beltran was preceded in death by her dear husband John Beltran who passed in 2009. Mrs. Beltran grew up in Newark and Irvington New Jersey with her loving parents Carmen and Tessie Cicalese, her brother and three sisters. She met her husband John following World War II in New Jersey and they were married on February 16, 1952 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Irvington, NJ. Soon after, they moved to San Antonio to begin their life together. With John's work they lived in Austin, El Paso and Dallas before returning to their home in San Antonio where they resided for 48 years. Madeline loved her time making a beautiful home life for her family, and nurturing John and her beloved daughters. Friends and family in San Antonio always enjoyed her wonderful Italian cooking that she brought with her from her mother Tessie. Holidays were always very important to her and she loved making them such a special time for everyone, especially for Theresa, Joe, Joanne and granddaughter Allison. In their later years Madeline worked with John outside the home and was always by his side. In their retirement years Madeline and John loved being with family, attending all of their activities and seeing their granddaughter grow. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough. Madeline will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity to others, and her endless nurturing love for her family. She will be greatly missed by so many that were touched by her life and love.
