He was born Oct. 24, 1928, in Hinton, W.Va., and had lived in Cheyenne for 67 years.
Mr. Hedrick served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Korean conflict.
He was a fire chief at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Upon discharge, he was a master sergeant and joined the WANG.
He was a member of the American Legion, 320 Scottish Rite and Wyoming Consistory, and Beckley Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Hedrick was the owner of The Supply Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Zola (Thompson) Hedrick; two sons, Herman Johnson Hedrick Jr. (Wanda) and Danny W. Hedrick (Cathie); daughter, Helen A. Rojas (Frank); six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hedrick was preceded in death by a son, David R. Hedrick; brother, Wesley M. Hedrick; sister, Angelyn H. Dudley; and parents, Wesley Cleveland Hedrick and Helen Angeline (Johnson) Hedrick.
