Aaron P. Emond, 74, of 2114 Jackson St., Two Rivers, died Wednesday night at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels and at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Robert Rhyner will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mr. Emond was born April 16, 1899, at Niagara, Wis., son of the late George and Ida Ruelle Emond. He came to Two Rivers as a young man and was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. until his retirement. Active in Two Rivers baseball circles in the early 1920s, he was a catcher on one of the first Mirro teams. He married Lucille Kotarek Nov. 23, 1921. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Kempka, of Caledonia, Wis., and Mrs. James Palubicki, of Sheboygan; two sons, Ralph and Aaron of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Sylvester Schmitt, of Two Rivers; two brothers, Everett, of Two Rivers and Kenneth of Villanova, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial service will be at 8 p.m.
