Esther M. Emond, age 77, of 2320 Forest Ave., Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, August 1, 1995, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday, August 4, 1995, at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiating at the Mass of Christian burial will be Rev. Donald Marquardt and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. She was born February 10, 1918, in Two Creeks, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Mella Zik. On May 29, 1937, Esther married David A. Emond, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1970. She was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing for many years until her retirement. Esther was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rene and Georgia Emond, Elizabethtown, Ky., David and Mary Anne Emond, Milwaukee; one sister, Evelyn Schaden, Two Rivers; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Raphael Zik, Florian and Dorothy Zik, all of Two Creeks, Raymond and Virginia Zik, Rachel Zik, all of Two Rivers; four grandchildren, Gregg, David, Andrew, and R. David; one great-granddaughter, Margaret; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roland and Harry Zik, and one brother-in-law, Orval Schaden and a sister-in-law, Margaret Zik. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home until the time of services. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
