Virginia M. "Ginny" Wilkens-Moritz

Virginia "Ginny" M. Wilkens Moritz, 88, of Whitefish, Montana, formerly of Kiel, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

She was the former Virginia Tennessen, born September 26, 1925 in Chilton, daughter of the late Anthony & Olive Reinkober Tennessen.

Ginny attended St. Mary's Grade School, Chilton and was a 1944 graduate of Chilton High School.

On November 21, 1945 she married Jerome Wilkens at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton.

"Jim" preceded her in death on January 21, 1979.

On September 16, 1981 she married Manford "Tucky" Moritz at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.

"Tucky" preceded her in death on September 19, 1990.

Ginny previously owned and operated Jim's Downtown Tap, Kiel, from 1966-1978 with her husband Jim.

She was a former member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel and presently a member of St. Charles Barraneo Catholic Church in Whitefish, Montana.

Ginny enjoyed bowling and was a former member of the Tuesday morning bowling league.

Always the "life of the party' Ginny enjoyed good food, good music, a good dance partner and a really good cold beer.

Survivors include her daughters; Sue Ann Wilkens-Beckman, Whitefish, Montana, Bonnie ( Matthew) Wilson, Blaine, WA, one son; James (Mary) Wilkens, Amberg, stepchildren; Gary Moritz, Manitowoc, Lee (Mary) Moritz, Middleton, Lynne (Mike) Gutoski, Milwaukee and grandchildren; Lindsay (Wes) Wendlandt, Tracy (Ryan) Nacius, Matt (Tara) Metully, Ali (Noah) Ptolemy, Lauren Metully. She is further survived by three great grandsons; Alex & Zach Wendlandt, Ryder Nacius, seven step grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law, Elaine & Lois Wilkens.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Herb Beckman, stepfather, Wally Baker, one step-sister, Connie (Carl) Berrens and five brothers-in-law.


Burial will take place in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Kiel.
