Funeral services were held today from the chapel of Mt. View Cemetery for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Alexander, 90, pioneer Oakland resident and widow of Rev. James J. Alexander of Oakland and Hawaii.
Mrs. Alexander died at her home at 361 Warwick Avenue yesterday.
Born in Andover, Maine, January 1, 1846, Mrs. Alexander came to California with her parents and remained in Oakland until her marriage. She then made her home in Hawaii and after her husband's death returned to Oakland, where she had lived for the past 50 years.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Frank A., Alexander of Kauai, Hawaii; Miss Edith M. Alexander and Mrs. Harry
