Funeral services for Mrs. Delia Ann Herron, 88 years of age, were held at the home of Luther Hayes, Elkhorn, Route 1, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Fountain Cox. Burial was in the Simpson Cemetery. Mrs. Herron died Sunday from the infirmities of age at the home. She was a native of Kentucky and was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are 8 children: Mrs. Sue Savage, Illinois, Mrs. Robert Gaddis, Louisville, Mrs. Oscar Wood, Elkhorn, Mrs. Georgia Gabehart, Mrs. Callie Noel, Mrs. Luther Hayes, Mrs. Willie Payton and E.H. Herron. The pallbearers were Everett Gabehart, Elmer Gabehart, Everett Noel, Delmar and Winfrey Herron.
