He was also predeceased by his brother and sister in law Leonard and Pauline Kisel, his sister Jean Bunch and his brother in law Rudy Melk.
George graduated from Olean High School in 1951. He married Rose Marie in 1955. He remarried in 1994 to Ann Hunsinger. George had many hobbies; fishing, hunting, golf, tennis, shuffleboard, singing, dancing, playing cards, billiards, horseshoes, ping pong, baseball coach, bingo, volunteer fireman and dedicated Yankee fan.
George also had many achievements during his lifetime among them; two-time Florida/Sebring Regional Golf Champion and men's Florida State Senior Golf runner up, two hole in one trophies, two time Senior Club Champion at Tomasso's Golf Course, nine time Wednesday Night Golf League Champion and Florida Pro shuffleboard player.
He retired in 1992 after a long, successful and respected career as a rail and transportation manager with Wirthmore Feed in Olean, NY and Agway, Inc. in Waverly.
He was an active member and treasurer for the Sebring Recreational Club. George was best known for being a proud and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his an amazing spirit for life, as a competitive sportsman, his incredible sense of humor, his hard working ethics and organization skills. He had a loving family and countless friends, he will be missed dearly by all.
Surviving George are his wife, Ann (Hunsinger) Kisel; his children George Kisel, Jeff and Lisa Kisel, Dan and Sandra Kisel, Michael and Luisa Kisel and Wendy and Scott Welcome; grandchildren: Matthew, Brian, and Annie Kisel, Kristen (Brian) Wilcox, Shawn, and Erika Kisel, Stephanie and Alex Kisel, Aleisia, Vincenzo and Michael Kisel, also his sisters; Sue Melk and Sylvia Say.
