Mrs. Mary Everson, 75, 1420 Glenwood St., Two Rivers, who had lived at the Shady Lane Home at Manitowoc for the past 11 months died there early Saturday morning. She had been in failing health for nearly a year.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. Theodore Kohnen officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Everson, nee Mary Collins, was born at Stetsonville, Wis., on July 8, 1878, a daughter of the late Godfrey and Jennie Collins. In 1896 she was married at Medford, Wis., to Edward Everson. They came to Two Rivers in 1930 from Chicago, where her husband, who died in Two Rivers in 1935, was engaged as a carpenter. Previously the family lived at points in northern Wisconsin.
Mrs. Everson leaves a daughter, Mrs. Harry Wachowski of Two Rivers, and two sons, Julius P. Everson of Two Rivers and Erwin Everson of Chicago, three brothers, Frank and George
Collins of Egan, South Dakota, and Godfrey Collins of Sierra Modre, Calif., 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
For many years, Mrs. Everson was affiliated with Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and the American Legion Auxiliary of Two Rivers as well as the Altar Society of St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at which the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters will take part. The American Legion Auxiliary will pay its respects at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday.
