ELEANORE M. FLENTJE

Eleanore M. Flentje, age 97, a resident of the Hamilton Care Center, formerly of 1623 - 20th St., Two Rivers, died on Thursday morning, Aug. 12, 2010, at the Hamilton Care Center.

Eleanore was born Oct. 10, 1912, in Two Rivers, to the late Michael and Pauline (Bonk) Dahm. She was a graduate of St. Luke's Catholic Grade School and attended Washington High School, Two Rivers. On May 21, 1932, she married Chester Flentje in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1985. Together the couple built, owned and operated the Cool City Motel in Two Rivers. They also built a motel in Canada, called the White River Motel. Eleanore was a longtime member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, where she was active with the Altar Society. She was also an active member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, and enjoyed dartball, bowling, and playing golf.

She is survived by one son: Eugene Flentje of Mishicot; one daughter: Shirley Jarvis of Two Rivers; four grandchildren: Steven Flentje, Lori Flentje, Sheri (Mike) Schneider and Jeffrey Reed; and three great-grandchildren: Aaron Schneider, April and Colin Reed. She is further survived by three sisters: Arvilla "Lila" Gospodarek and Iva Kouba of Two Rivers, Carol Nehring, Mishicot; one brother: Martin Dahm of Sun Prairie; and three sisters-in-law: Loretta Wilsmann, Two Rivers, Agnes Dahm and Jeanette Dahm of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no funeral services or visitation held. Burial has taken place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
