Loren was the son of Nicholas and Mary (Wehlage) Heber. He married Joann Green on November 2, 1973 and they had two sons - Sean (Melody) and Eric (Stacey). Loren was Grandfather to Amos, Sheldon, and Jonas.
Loren worked for Interstate Power Company, later Alliant Energy, and retired from there. For the past five years he worked for ITC Midwest. Loren was a member of the Elks Lodge #297, the Great River Amateur Radio Club, and the IBEW Local 204.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Theresa Grace and Nancy Ann both in infancy, and his father-in-law Arnold Green.
