JOHN GALLENBERGER

John Gallenberger, 78, residing on Memorial Dive, northeast of the city and former city treasurer at Kewaunee, died early Sunday at the Holy Family hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. from the Jansky funeral home in Two Rivers and at nine o’clock from the Sacred Heart church here, the Rev. Louis Schorn officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross cemetery at Two Rivers.

John Gallenberger was born in West Kewaunee in 1864 and came to this country 25 years ago. He was a mason contractor by trade.

Survivors are the widow, the former Kathryn Kramer, two daughters, Mrs. Louis Rezachek and Mrs. Nick Ross, Memorial Drive; five sons, John of Kewaunee and William, Joseph, Walter and Raymond all of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Litcherman and Mrs. Theresa Steinhorst of West Kewaunee and two brothers, Frank of Green Bay and Joseph of Menominee, Mich. Twenty-eight grand children and five great grandchildren also survive.
