Mrs. John Goedjen, Jr., 36, of 2123 Madison street, Two Rivers, died at the Municipal hospital in Two Rivers this morning following a heart stroke on Sunday evening. She had been in ill health for the past few months. Her husband was in St. Louis and returned this afternoon when he first learned of her death.

She was born in 1908, the daughter of Christ and Emma Becker in the town of Two Rivers. In 1928, she was married to John Goedjen and the couple took up residence in Two Rivers where they operated a meat market until 1942.

She is survived by her husband and parents; two daughters, Ruth Ann and Mary Lou; one son, Jack; two sisters, Mildred and Mary Becker of Two Rivers; three brothers, Arnold of the town of Two Rivers, George of Sheboygan Falls, and Clement of Two Rivers. She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic church, the Altar society, and the Columbus Home association auxiliary. Funeral arrangements will be announced Tuesday.
