Mrs. John Graff, 52, of route 1, Two Rivers, died suddenly Saturday night at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital where she had been taken following a stroke earlier in the day at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kiel and Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers, with burial in Holy Cross cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
Born in Kewaunee in 1894, Mrs. Graff was the former Gertrude Hessel. She was married to John Graff, also of Kewaunee, in 1911 and the couple settled on a farm in Kewaunee county for several years before taking over the operation of the farm in the town of Two Rivers about 24 years ago. They have farmed there ever since, with Mr. Graff preceding his wife in death about three years ago.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hessel of Kewaunee; a son, Raymond Graff, town of Two Rivers farmer and operator of a trucking line; and four grandchildren Five brothers, William, Lloyd, Arnold and Donald Hessel, all of Kewaunee, and Phillip Hessel of Michigan City, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Augustine of Green Bay and Mrs. George Knopp of Kewaunee, also survive.
