Rosella F. Raether, age 64, of 3011 Gass Lake Road, Manitowoc, died Wednesday
afternoon, February 15, 1995, at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 1995, at the
Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mass of Christian Burial will be
concelebrated by the Rev. Gerald Foley and the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with
burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
She was born August 6, 1930, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Sylvester and
Mary Muench Newman. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1948.
She married Herbert Z. Gretz on July 28, 1948, at Holy Innocents Catholic
Church. He preceded her in death December 10, 1971. She then married Elton L.
Raether December 16, 1977, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. She was a member
of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Elton, Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Gregory and Ann Gretz, Two Rivers; Daniel and Selinda Gretz, Ocean Springs,
Miss.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Katherine and Frank Kautzer,
Manitowoc, Constance and Louis Raether, Manitowoc; Mary Rogala and her fiance,
Mark Burich, Manitowoc, Kim and Jeff Denor, Green Bay; a step-son and daughter-
in-law, Allan and Patricia Raether, Manitowoc; a step-daughter and son-in-law,
Lori and Todd Olson, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and
Edwin Reif, Francis Creek; nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren;
relatives, friends, and her dearest friends, Bette and John Bebow, Manitowoc.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce M. Hippert, grandaughter, Kristian
Ann Raether, a step-grandson, Adam Michael Raether.
Friends may call at the Holy Innocents Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the
time of services. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home is asssiting the family with funeral
arrangements.
