Co., Two Rivers, died early Thursday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.
He was stricken with a heart condition two days ago.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral
Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev.
John K. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Gretz was born June 30, 1906, in the Town of Cooperstown, son of the late
Nicholas and Elizabeth Gorzlanczyk Gretz. He married the former Elsie Klein at
St. Luke Church, Two Rivers, Feb. 24, 1925. She died May 3, 1960. Before moving
to Two Rivers eight years ago he was engaged in farming in the Town of Mishicot.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elroy LaChappelle of Two Rivers; four sons, Herbert
of Manitowoc, Bernard of Rt. 1, Mishicot, Orville of Two Rivers and Hilary of Fort
Chaffe, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. Robert Christensen of Denmark and Mrs. Sylvester
Sieracke, Mrs. Ralph Snyder and Mrs. Zenon Tadych of Manitowoc; two brothers,
Stanley of Kewaunee and Frank of Cooperstown and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will
be recited at 8 p.m.
