Lawrence E. Grimm, age 72, of 2813 Monroe St., Two Rivers, died Wednesday morning, September 3, 1997, at Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, 1997, at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. William O'Brien with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. He was born October 23, 1924, in the town of Two Rivers, son of the late Edward and Laura Geimer Grimm. He attended the Twin Elder School and parochial school in Two Rivers and graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1942. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the United States Navy. In 1951, he married LaVeda VanLannen Nitka in Manitowoc. Larry was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company for 40 years retiring in 1986. Survivors include his wife, LaVeda; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Sue Grimm, Wauwatosa; one sister, Gloria Ann Burish, Manitowoc; two nieces and two nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Andrew on August 25, 1973. Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 12:30 p.m. Friday until the time of service at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
