Albert V. Anthrop, 83 of 222 Delaware Drive, West Lafayette died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday in his home. He had been ill the past three months.
Born in Reynolds, October 5, 1901, he came to Tippecanoe County as a small child. He was educated in Tippecanoe County and St. Boniface Catholic schools. For 30 years he lived near Montmorenci where he managed a small farm from 1950 until 1980. He also worked at Purdue University Physical Plant from 1944 until retiring there in 1967. Before that he was a machine operator at Ross Gear.
He was married June 10, 1925 in Lafayette to Grace Huffman who survives.
Mr. Anthrop was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, St. Boniface Senior Citizens Club, and Tippecanoe County Farm Bureau.
