She was born in Dayton, Ohio, April 20, 1930.
She graduated from Good Samaritan College of Nursing, Dayton, Ohio, in 1951. She received her degree in anesthesiology from Mounty Marty College, Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, South Dakota in 1953.
She and her husband, John, moved to Globe in 1956. She worked at the Inspiration Mine Hospital and Gila General Hospital for many years. She was very talented and had many interests. She loved gardening, crocheting and sewing, as well as baking and decorating wedding cakes.
She was the beloved Mother of daughters, Patty Fulghum, Barbara Shelor (Rick), Cathy Lemmer, Mary Bernstein (Jim); her son, John (Diane); cherished Grandmother of Don, David, Christopher, Nickolas, Claire and her 3 great –grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Swigart (Pinky); aunt, Liliana Gastiger; brother-in-law, Karl Lemmer and sister-in-law, Frances Swigart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Bob and granddaughter, DaVonna.
