According to the 1910 US Census, Katherine was born in Kansas. Katherine was the daughter of Salucius Garfield Moores and Constantina Stoker. The Ashland community had a Salucius Garfield Moores family reunion through the 1970s. Salucius was born in Kentucky and his father, Jackson Moores fought for the South in the War Between the States. Jackson's father, George Moores, fought for Virginia in the Revolutionary War. Constantina Stoker was born in Missouri and according to the 1900 US Census her parents were both born in Germany.

Clarence and Katherine's son Virgil Leroy Aldridge predeceased them in 1949. Their other children survived them: Marvin Cecil "Henry" Aldridge, Raymond Edmond Aldridge, and Iva May Aldridge Osborne. Henry Aldridge's only child was named after her grandmother Katherine.
