Jennie Gomez, 81, of Escalon died in San Jose.Ms. Gomez was a native of California and had lived in Escalon since 1991. She was a beautician in Santa Clara for 10 years and also had worked as an electronic technician.She enjoyed tennis, painting and gardening.She is survived by her children, Michael Gomez of Brownsville, Texas, and Irene G. Lujan and Danny Gomez, both of San Jose; brother, Santos De La Cruz of Hollister; sister, Rose Piacenti of Oakdale; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Deegan Funeral Chapel, with a funeral there at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Burwood Cemetery
