Funeral services for Miss Alice Josephine Adams, 78, 440 S Walker St. were held at 1:30 yesterday afternoon in the Robertson Chapel with the Rev Sherman Davis officiating. Miss Adams died shortly after 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at her home from a coronary heart attack.
Mrs. Dick Green sang ''The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" with Mrs. Joe Martin accompanying.,
Pallbearers were Beryl Francis J W Francis Austin North Elba Francis Paul Kinder and Noel Smith. She was born in Howell Valley, east of West Plains, Dec 4, 1881, to the late Thomas Frank and Emma Trantham Adams. She spent her entire life in and near West Plains. She made her home with her parents until their death at which time she moved to West Plains to make her home. She was a Methodist since early girlhood. Surviving are four brothers Adrian Adams, Wenatchee, Wash., Zonro Adams and Lee Adams both of Springfield and Earnest Adams Aurora.
Three sisters and a brother precede her in death. Burial was in the family plot in Howell Valley Cemetery beside her parents under the direction of Robertson Home.
Out of town people for the services were: Mr. Zonro Adams and son, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Adams
and Mrs. Winnie Griffin ail of Springfield, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jackson and Ernest Adams, Aurora.
