In 1896, at the age of 5, she and her family immigrated to the United States. They settled in Homestead, Pennsylvania and became members of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
On June 29, 1908, at the age of 17, Catherine married Raymond Sylvester Leslie in Brooke County, West Virginia. Returning to Pennsylvania, they took up residence at 618 Little Street in Duquesne.
On April 6, 1909, Catherine gave birth to a son, Leo (nee Raymond), at her home in Duquesne. By April of 1910, Catherine and her son were living at her parents' home in Homestead; she and her husband were separated.
On October 10, 1917, Catherine married George Miller. The marriage was performed by Carl August Voss, the pastor of the German Evangelical Protestant Church on Smithfield St. in Pittsburgh.
In March of 1936, Catherine was diagnosed with tuberculosis. On March 4, 1937, due to declining health, she was admitted to the Tuberculosis Hospital of Pittsburgh (at Leech Farm).
On June 14, 1937, Catherine was declared dead at 4:00 PM. Her cause of death was given as pulmonary tuberculosis.
On Friday, June 18, 1937, Catherine was laid to rest in the Coughlin family plot at St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery. Her grave is unmarked.
