Katherine Denise "Kathy" Bright, age 42, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, passed away on June 26, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord, North Carolina.
Kathy was born November 23, 1971 in North Carolina, to James Boyd Hudson Sr. and the late Gearldine Juanita Hudson.
She was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church in Concord. Kathy loved spending time with her family, her favorite pet "Bootsie" the kitten, and going fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Dwayne Bright of the home, a daughter, Taylor Basinger and husband, Randy of Kannapolis, a son, Tyler Bright of Kannapolis, her father, James Boyd Hudson Sr. of Kannapolis, two brothers, Marvin Hudson and wife Lisa of China Grove, and James Hudson Jr. and wife April of Kannapolis, a sister, Penny Yarborough and husband Joey of Concord, nine nieces, two nephews, two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
The funeral service was held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Ronnie Simpson of Bright Light Baptist Church.
