ROME, April 11 - Mrs. Maud Bedell King, wife of "Hall" Z. King who died on Wednesday morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George C. Bedell on Floyd Avenue, was an accomplished young woman whose home had always been in Rome.
She was married on Easter Monday, 1894, and besides her husband and parents and her twin sister, Mrs. Thomson (May) Rogers of Fayetteville she leaves two little children, Marion and Natalie.
From little girls to young womanhood the twin sisters were ever popular. They attended the St. Peters Academy and Ladies Boarding School and were graduated in music at the Utica Conservatory, their favorite instruments being the violin and piano and they have appeared in concert in Rome, Syracuse and Utica. Mrs. King was born in Rome Sept. 11, 1871, and she always lived here.
On Easter Monday, March 26, 1894, she married Mr. King, who with his parents at that time were here from the south and were stopping at Stanwix Hall.
Besides her parents and husband, she leaves two children, Marian, in her eighth year, and Nathalie Codray King, aged six years, and her twin sister, Mrs. Thomson Rogers of Fayetteville. Utica Observer, Wednesday, April 8, 1903
