Annie Mae Hulse, was born in Fairview, Utah, the daughter of Hyrum Smith Hulse and Annie Dorthea Anzina Hjorth. Mae had been married to Samuel Seymor Henrie and Thomas Fielding Garr, and after Fielding's death, she was left with three children to care for. She nursed for Doctors D.C. and T.B. Budge, helping deliver babies and taking care of the mothers. She was janitor at the old frame church.

On February 10, 1914, Annie married Niels H. Monson. Niels was born August 8, 1880 in Eslov, Sweden and came to Millville as an infant with his mother, Hanna Monson. He became a farmer and owned land in Millville and a homestead in Clarkston. He had a love for horses, and they would respond to his words and take their place at the plow or harrow.

After her marriage to Niels, she cared for a large flock of chickens and milked the cows. She was an expert home-maker and cook, and she enjoyed all kinds of handiwork.

Children of Samuel Semor Henrie and Mae are: Mildred (Carl Joseph Anderson) and Leone (John O. Anderson).

The child of Fielding Garr and Mae is Phyllis Crookston.

Children of Niels N.H. Monson and Mae are: Fern (La Mar Bullock) and George (Norma Monson).
