Mr. Emile O. Shively, 80, of 407 Lowell Avenue in Campbellsville, son of the late Mr. Elijah F. Shively and Mrs. Sarah Abigail Rice Shively, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 6, 1896. He died suddenly at 4 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 1977, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville. He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Elkhorn Baptist Church. He was a watchmaker at Shively's Jewelry Store where he had been employed for many years. He united in marriage to Miss Dorothy Lowry in 1936. She preceded him in death in February, 1959. He reunited in marriage to Mrs. Susan Phillips Lane, November 28, 1961. Besides his wife, Mrs. Susan Shively of Campbellsville, he is survived by two step-daughters: Mrs. Bessie Sallee of Campbellsville and Mrs. Darlene Pike of Bowling Green. He is also survived by one step-granddaughter and one step-grandson: Mr. Eddie Sallee of Campbellsville and Miss Stephanie Pike of Bowling Green; one brother: Mr. Raymond B. Shively, who is a patient at Medco Center of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 6, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Hardin Hosey. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville. Pallbearers were Paul Smith, Don Dudgeon, Richard Cable, Willard Lee Wise, James Harmon, and Don Antle.
