Norbert A. Hoffman, 70, of 2600 West St., Two Rivers, retired stock clerk at Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at home early Saturday morning. He had previously been in good health.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. H. J. Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Hoffman was born June 7, 1894, in the Town of Lima, Sheboygan County, son of the late Jacob and Catherine Wagner Hoffman. His father was an early postmaster, merchant and tavern operator at Six Corners, Town of Lima. He married the former Frances Rammer at St. George Catholic Church, Six Corners, Nov. 24, 1920. For 47 years he was an employe of Hamilton Mfg. Co., coming to Two Rivers as a young man. He retired five years ago. Mr. Hoffman was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Luke parish.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Gervase (Margaret) Vanderbloemen, of Two Rivers; three sons, Kenneth, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Norbert Jr., of Allouez, Brown County, and Marcel, of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Spranger, of Waldo, Wis.; three brothers, Peter, Raymond and Alois, of Milwaukee and 16 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m.
