Sarah Ann Pilling (c.1864-1912) was the first daughter of George and Emma (Whitworth) Pilling. She came to America in October 1886 with her mother and siblings to join her father and brother who had arrived earlier.

On 4 January 1888 she married Charles Henry Holt in Somersworth, New Hampshire. They divorced shortly afterwards, and then she married John F Ashworth. They had a child George Pilling Ashworth in either Paterson, New Jersey or Rhode Island.

John Ashworth died, probably before 1900. Sarah had lived in worked in Fall River, Massachusetts before moving to Manchester, New Hampshire, about 1906, where she died in 1912.
