Allen Kinnick, 64, died Saturday, June 21, 2014. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at the Highland Township Cemetery in Bayard.
Allen was born in Austin, MN, to Lyle and Marie Kinnick. He was raised in Bayard, graduated from Bayard High School and lived most of his life in the Des Moines area. Allen was a diesel mechanic for several shops around Des Moines.
Allen is survived by his sons, Nick (Kari) Kinnick of Johnston and Dustin Kinnick of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Connor, Grace and Maddy; and his siblings, Robert Kinnick of Grand Junction and Diana (John) Sheer of Bayard.
