Brother of Walter, Donald, Evelyn, and Barbara Wikstrom. Grand son of Magnus and Anna Wikstrom.
Married Helen Loper had two daughters, Terry and Joyce.
He has 6 grand daughters, 12 Great grandchildren (6m-6f), and two great great grand daughters. United States Air Force World War II. 93rd Bombardment Wing. Perished when U.S. Air Force B-52B Stratofortress #52-8716 exploded shortly after take-off from Castle Air Force Base, near Atwater, California.

CAPTAIN RICHARD M. WIKSTROM was born in Cleveland, Ohio on 13 January 1925. He attended High School in Hampton, Virginia, where he graduated in 1943.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps 6 July 1943, and served as an enlisted man until commissioned 22 March 1945. He was released from commissioned service on 23 February 1946, and recalled in April 1948, and served continuously from that time.
He completed Bombardier Training at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona. He held a pilot rating, and was highly skilled in the field of bombardment, having flown a total of 1,887 hours in military aircraft.
Captain Wikstrom had been with the 329th Bombardment Squadron since 1 June 1952. He was a member of the first B-52 Transition class on 31 May 1955.
Captain Wikstrom holds the following awards, decorations, and citations: Victory Medal, World War II American Campaign Medal, Occupational Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Reserve Medal.
He is survived by his Wife, Mrs. Helen L. Wikstrom, two daughters, Terry Jean, age 6 and Joyce Lynne', age 2 all of Atwater, California and by his Mother and Father, Mr. Karl E. and Mrs. Elfrieda Wikstrom of Yorktown, Virginia.
