BENJAMIN T. MOWRY
Benjamin T. Mowry, 82, died Wednesday afternoon at the Franklin County Public hospital. Mr. Mowry had been at the hospital about a month as the result of a fall, and observed his birthday there last week Friday, where he was remembered by many of his friends. Mr. Mowry was a native of Smithfield, R. I. He came to Greenfield about 60 years ago. He was a life long member of the Methodist Church, an earnest temperance advocate and a Sunday school teacher, having taught his class up to the time he was injured. He was an exemplary man and was highly respected. He was a machinist by trade and was employed by the American Tap & Die Company for 17 years. He lived at 26 Shelburne street. He is survived by his wife who was Emily M. Burnham, a sister of Fred L. Burnham, and of the late Mrs. Jason Carll, also a daughter, Mrs. Clara Goddard, three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren, a sister, Martha A. Mowry of Greenville, R.
