Only son of Joseph Franklin and Katherine Irene (Hughes) Thrippleton/Trippleton. He m. Eleanor Mae Hughes, d. George Washington and Mabel Eva (Clough) Hughes, on 26 Oct 1941. Enlisted US Army 16 April 1943 and was discharged as a Tech SGT. According to military records he was buried in Union Cemetery.
