Frank Winans was born in Niles, Michigan, on November 14, 1868, and died at his home in Onaga, Kansas on November 8, 1939, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 24 days.
He grew to manhood in Michigan, afterward living in Nebraska, at Hastings and Grand Island. He came to Onaga sixteen years ago, as foreman on the Union Pacific, retiring in 1929.
He leaves to mourn his going, his wife; one sister; one daughter, Mrs. Lorena Wittenmyer, of Grand Island, Nebr.; one son Boyd, of California; two step children, Herbert and Charlene of the home; and three granddaughters.
Funeral services were held from the Tessendorf Chapel, Friday afternoon, in charge of Rev. M. N. Davis. Interment was in the Onaga cemetery.
