She would stay up many nights till midnight sewing for her girls. She was in poor health for most of her life and we always had a girl living with us to help her. They were Carrie Burning till she got married and then Emma Burning till she got married. We lived at 1018 Deleware Ave, Tilden Ave, Garfield St., Columbus Ave. where I was living when I got married and then to East State in a beautiful brick home that dad built and where he later died. At his death I was living in Tenafly, NJ and did not get home to attend the funeral because I was ill at the time so all my memories of him are good. My mother Emma, has lived with Virginia who never married and really looked after her for which I will always be greatful. At age 87 she went swimming in Jerry and Emilie's pool. She always loved to go places. Mom died in Ft Wayne 4 apr 1981. I loved her dearly.

Emma worked for a while at Ft Wayne knitting mills making stockings before she got married.

Poem Written by Pearl Scott to commorate Emma Goeglein's death:
Mrs. Emma Buesching's Death April 4,1981
Your dear mom is gone, she has slipped away
To be with Jesus thru endless day.
Her race is over, her crown is won
Thru tears we say, thy will be done.
We have laid her to rest, on a grassy slope
But sorrow not as others, who have no hope.
For when we are called, be it soon or late,
We'll meet her inside at the Eastern gate.
There's an empty chair we shall miss her so
While she is safe in Heaven we know.
But we'll go some day. and we know she'll wait
And watch for us by that Eastern gate.
So we'll meet her there is God's heaven so bright
so it isn't Good Bye .. but just Good Night
Pearl Scott"
