FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON
Funeral services over the remains of Mr. H. H. Hastings, whose death occurred Sunday morning, will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Frank J. Brooke, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, and the interment will be made in the Methodist Protestant cemetery.
Henry H. Hastings, born Deleware married Lydia Ticer Feb. 13, 1854 in Northumberland, Virignia. They had 2 children: son William H. Hastings born ca Jan 1855 and dau Elizabeth born ca 1857. After Lydia death, Henry married Mary L. Welch Dec. 12, 1866, in Northumberland, VA. It is interesting to note that he when he died he was living with his 1st wife's brother.

The funeral of H. H. Hastings ill take place from the residence of his son-in-law, Policeman Samuel Ticer, on Queen Street, this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. Brooke, of the Presbyterian Church and the interment will be made in the Methodist Protestant Cemetery. The funeral will be attended by a number of Confederate veterans of this city.

Death of John H. Hastings (sic - Henry H. Hastings).
Mr. John H. Hastings, (sic-Mr. Henry H. Hastings) a well-known, and highly respected old resident, died yesterday at the home of his son-in-law, Policeman Samuel Ticer, at 524 Queen street. During the war Mr. Hastings served in the confederate army. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.

ALEXANDRIA, VA. Oct. 12. - Mr. John H. Hastings (sic - Mr. Henry H. Hastings), an old Confederate soldier died yesterday at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Samuel Ticer. Although Mr. Hastings was born in Delaware, he entered the Confederate service, and served throughout the war.
