Son of William Wilkins Calhoun and Mary Ann (McDaniel) Calhoon. Albert was born either in Athens or Morgan Co., OH. He was 11 when his family moved to Wisconsin. He married twice; first, to They had 5 children together: Bessie, Merta (Myrtle), Ray, and the twins, Bertus (Bert) & Dolly Blanche. Albert and Ida are buried side by side, under a beautiful old tree in Vernon Co..
He married Cora Bell Harris in 1894. They had 11 children together. Albert & Cora moved to Garden Grove, California in 1911, and returned to Wisconin in 1917. While in CA, Albert's health began to fail both physically and mentally.
